WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF GENERAL ANESTHESIA?
General anesthesia allows the patient to bear the
surgical procedures that would otherwise cause unbearable pain and potentiate
extreme physiologic exacerbations.
General anesthesia decreases intraoperative patient
consciousness and recall, it lets the proper muscle relaxation for the lengthy
periods of time. It enables complete control of the airway, the breathing, and
the circulation; it can be used in cases of sensitivity to the local anesthetic
agent and can also be administered without affecting the patient from the
supine position.
General anesthesia can be adapted effortlessly to
events of unpredictable period or extent, it can be administered quickly and it
is reversible, the patient is not overly stressed during the procedure, it lets
complete stillness over lengthy periods of time, and it licenses the surgery in
broadly separated areas of the body at the same time.
